Singers Omawumi Megbele and Waje Iruobe have launched a media production company, Hermanes Media.
Waje, 39, took to Instagram to express enthusiasm about the new venture, which was− according to her− created a year ago.
“A year ago, Omawumi and I combined our talents, industry knowledge and business sense to create Hermanes Media,” she said.
“We have a combined number of 25 years of experience working in and navigating the media industry, which we have decided to put into good use as we fuel a new generation.”
Waje said Hermanes Media will be collaborative in nature, adding that the company will provide services “from film and TV production to content curation and creative digital marketing”.
“We are joining forces with the industry to start reflecting our stories, our story of consistency; hard work; collaboration and being the solution,” she said.
“We intend to be more expressive and innovative about it.”
Tipping off fans on an upcoming project lunch, Waje said: “With a team of experts on board, Hermanes Media provides services such as film/TV production, TV adverts, content curation, brand event activation, and creative digital marketing.
“Adding to the excitement surrounding the potentials of this new venture, we are equally thrilled to be launching our first project which would be communicated next month.”
Waje and Omawumi have been close friends before either of them attained success in the music industry.
