Breaking News: Court clears Ladoja, aide of N4.7bn fraud charge

Justice Mohammed Idris of a Federal High Court in Lagos has cleared a former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja and one of his aides, Waheed Akanbi, of the N4.7 billion fraud charge slammed on them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The judge discharged and acquitted Ladoja and his aide on all the 11-counts bordering on the alleged offence.
In his judgement, Justice Idris held that the case of the prosecution against the defendants is too low on credible evidence.
The judge noted that from the totality of the evidence of all the prosecution witness, the defendants has committed no offence.
