Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Friday re-arrested convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare inside the courtroom of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Sahara Reporters tweeted at 10:47am that “DSS finally re-arrests Omoyele Sowore after chasing judge out of the courtroom with gun. He has been taken to the headquarters of the DSS.”
Situation had turned rowdy as armed DSS operatives made to re-arrest Sowore as reporters shielded him from the DSS operatives.
Channels TV reported that its judiciary correspondent who was also inside the courtroom was hit during the fracas.
“The police people and DSS just hit me cos I was trying to take a shot of them dragging Sowore,” she said.
APC have rubbished our judiciary system finally. DSS invaded court room, chased away presiding judge and rough-handled Sowore again. Too bad in this country!!!
Sowore and Bakare were released at exactly 7:15 pm on Thursday, hours after Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court in Abuja expressed displeasure over their continued detention by the agency.
