Barely hours after armed terrorists invaded and abducted some students and members of staff of St. Mary’s School, in Papiri community in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, another set of terrorists have reportedly attacked and abducted an unspecified number of students at the Peter’s Foundation Secondary School in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The gunmen had, in the early hours of Friday, stormed the St. Mary’s School where they kidnaped what is said to be over 100 students and staff members.
But the actual number of victims is yet to be ascertained as security agencies were still assessing the situation.
Following the incident, all schools in the Rukubi area have been immediately shut down as a precaution, amidst growing panic and concern over the safety of educational institutions in the region.
