President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has lauded Multichoice Nigeria for its contributions towards improving the quality of broadcasting and football in Nigeria.

Pinnick gave the commendation to Africa’s premier pay-television platform on Thursday at the unveiling of the maiden GOtv MAX Cup in Lagos.

The NFF President described Multichoice as a “top-notch organisation”, emphasising that they have uplifted the quality of football and sports generally in the country.

Pinnick also commended the organisation for refining the Nigerian broadcast industry, especially with their high quality of programming and influence in the digital broadcasting space.

He said, “We are very excited about GOtv, Multichoice, SuperSport. They have really impacted in Nigeria’s digital space. They have demonstrated high quality in terms of the totality of broadcasting; they’ve redefined broadcast and we are happy to be associated with them.

“I have a personal relationship with them ages ago, even when I was the Chairman of Delta Football Association. I was the first state FA to have his matches broadcast live. They are a top notch, five-star organisation. They have done very well for football and sport development generally.”
