In a bid to achieve the set target of taking 2000 Pilgrims to the Holy land of Israel, Greece or Rome for the Nov/Dec 2019 Pilgrimage, the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board has embarked on an intensive sensitisation campaign to Churches, Christian Organisations, Corporate bodies and the general public.

The Executive Secretary (LSCPWB), Mrs. Yetunde Gbafe, who disclosed this while addressing members of staff on the need to be more efficient and effective in sensitising stakeholders to key into its Pilgrimage Package, said the task ahead is achievable through a collective effort, effective collaboration and team spirit.

She promised to be part of the sensitisation exercise irrespective of the location and assured the staff of support from the Board in terms of mobility and provision of incentives when necessary.

Gbafe, therefore, emphasised the need to have responsible pilgrims on Board through proper scrutiny and prayers, stressing that she believes so much in the efficacy of prayers and LSCPWB being a Christian Agency should engage the powerful weapon of prayers to conquer challenges, obstacles and achieve results.

The Executive Secretary also expressed her appreciation to all members of staff for the efforts made so far, especially those who had visited various churches, participated in vigils, revivals, congresses and crusades in order to sensitise Christians on the forthcoming Nov/Dec 2019 pilgrimage to Isreal, Greece or Rome.

She thanked the state government for its kind gesture in approving the instalment terms of payment for intending pilgrims, for as low as N20,000 (Twenty Thousand Naira).

The LSCPWB is a Government-owned Agency saddled with the responsibility of organising pilgrimage operations to the Holy Lands of Israel, Greece and Rome under the supervision of the State Ministry of Home Affairs. The Pilgrimage comes up twice yearly between April/May and November/December.
