SuperSport viewers on DStv and GOtv can enjoy the continuation of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers this week, with a heavyweight bout between Germany and Netherlands the definite highlight of Friday 6 September 2019.

Group C of the Euro 2020 qualifiers is perhaps surprisingly topped by Northern Ireland (four wins from four for the British team) but they will not be in action until next week Monday, leaving second-placed Germany (three wins from three matches) and third-placed Netherlands (one win and one defeat thus far) looking to make up significant ground.

The rivalry between the Mannschaft and the Oranje is one of European football’s fiercest, and Ronald Koeman’s team desperately need a win in Hamburg on Friday night – not only to get back into contention for a top two finish (though they are assured of a playoff place due to their Nations League performance) but to avenge a 3-2 loss at home to Germany back in March.

Other major teams for SuperSport viewers to watch out for include Poland, who will be looking to keep up their dominance of Group G when they tackle Slovenia in Ljublijana (the other game in the group on Friday sees Austria host Latvia), while 2018 World Cup runners-up Croatia have a tricky Group E match away to Slovakia and Wales will chase their second win in the same pool when they host Azerbaijan in Cardiff.

Group I of the Euro 2020 qualifiers on Friday sees leaders Belgium chasing a fifth straight win when they head to San Marino, Cyprus host Kazakhstan in Nicosia, and Scotland will look to get their campaign back on track with a home win over second-placed Russia at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
