Viewers will be in for a thrilling night of professional wrestling action as SuperSport features the 2019 WWE Hell in a Cell from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California on Monday 7 October.
The LIVE pre-show begins at 11:30pm WAT on SuperSport 4 before the event is screened live from the United States at 12:00am WAT on SuperSport 4, with a repeat later in the day at 19:00 on the same channels
Further repeat viewings will take place on Thursday 10 October at 2:00pm WAT on SuperSport 8 and on GOtv channel Select 5, as well as Sunday 13 October at 1:00pm WAT on SuperSport 9 and GOtv channels Select 3.
WWE Hell in a Cell features a large cell structure, a five-sided cuboid made from open-weave steel mesh chain-link fencing which encloses the ring and ringside area. Unlike the steel cage match, only an in-ring pin-fall or submission will ordinarily result in a win and there are no disqualifications.
The main attraction for SuperSport viewers to look forward to at Hell in a Cell is a battle for the Universal Championship between Seth Rollins and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. Following Rollins’ successful title defence against Braun Strowman at Clash of Champions in September, Wyatt appeared as his sinister alternate persona “The Fiend” and attacked Rollins. The champion responded by putting his belt on the line at Hell in a Cell to gain revenge over the dual-ego wrestler.
Another of the key matches to feature at WWE Hell in a Cell sees Becky Lynch put her Raw Women’s Championship on the line against arch rival Sasha Banks. Lynch assaulted Banks with a chair in their brutal brawl at Clash of Champions, earning her a disqualification and significant fine, but she still enters the event at Golden 1 Center as the defending champion and hoping to consolidate her dominance of the women’s division.
Hell in a Cell will also feature a star-studded tag-team match, as Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns team up to take on Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. Rowan’s backstage attacks on Reigns and his split from Bryan makes for plenty of bad blood heading into this clash, which is definitely one for SuperSport viewers to relish.
