The 2019/20 La Liga season will have its 12th round this weekend, 2-3 November 2019, with Viewers on DStv and GOtv set to be treated to some brilliant action from Spain’s top flight.

DStv subscribers from Premium to Family will have font row seats to all La Liga games, while on GOtv, Max is the home of the Spanish league and all the best games will be available on the package, while Plus customers can tune in twice a week for selected matches.

The pick of matches from La Liga this weekend comes from Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday evening when Sevilla host Atletico Madrid. This is very much a battle of two teams looking to push themselves up toward the top of the table in pursuit of European qualification – and possibly more as the season progresses.

Sevilla have been the more inconsistent of the two sides and will need to raise their game for a clash with Diego Simeon’s combative Rojiblancos, while the Madrid club can also take confidence from putting together a five-game unbeaten run against Los Nervionenses in La Liga.

SuperSport viewers can also look forward to seeing champions Barcelona in an early-evening clash away to Levante at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia. Barca have had mixed results at the venue in recent years: last season they racked up a 5-0 away win over Levante in La Liga, but their prior visit in May 2018 ended in a stunning 5-4 defeat. A similarly goal-laden affair could be in store once again.

The weekend La Liga action will also feature Real Madrid, who host Real Betis at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night. Betis have claimed away wins in their last two La Liga trips to face Los Blancos and a third in succession would put massive pressure on manager Zinedine Zidane.

Other matches for DStv subscribers to watch out for include Valencia away to Espanyol, Villarreal at home to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday afternoon, and surprise package Granada at home to Real Sociedad to close out the round on Sunday night.

Serie A preview, 2-4 November

The 2019/20 Serie A season will have its 11th round this weekend, 2-4 November 2019, with viewers on DStv and GOtv set to be enthralled by the quality of football from Italy’s top division.

DStv Family customers have a boosted offering of Serie A and will see all the matches, while Access customers will be able to catch two games a week. GOtv Max and GOtv Plus customers will enjoy our coverage of the best action from Italy.

The pick of Serie A matches from the weekend is the Turin derby between Torino and Juventus from Stadio Olimpico on Saturday night. The mutual enmity runs deep between these teams and Torino would love nothing more than to put a dent in Juve’s hopes of winning yet another Scudetto. The Bianconeri, however, boast a 10-game unbeaten streak against their cross-city rivals across all competitions, with Il Toro last claiming a win in a derby back in April 2015.

Another mouth-watering Serie A clash is the round opener in which Roma will host Napoli in the ‘Eternal City’ on Saturday afternoon. The Neapolitans claimed an emphatic 4-1 win in their last trip to face the Giallorossi and will fancy their chances of a repeat performance as they aim to challenge for a place in the upper reaches of the log.

A further title contender for SuperSport viewers to enjoy is Internazionale, as Antonio Conte takes his Nerazzurri side to Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Saturday evening. The Rossoblu beat Sampdoria 2-1 in their last home clash but will need to raise their game for the visit of the Milanese giants.

Yet another potential thriller for DStv subscribers to enjoy is the clash between unpredictable teams Milan and Lazio from the San Siro on Sunday night. The teams’ last six meetings across all competitions have produced just four goals – so this rivalry is very much due a loosening of the defensive mindset and hopefully this clash will be one in which the net is rippled several times.

Also in action this Serie A round is an intriguing clash between Fiorentina and Parma, Atalanta looking to overcome surprise package Cagliari, and a Monday night battle between SPAL and Sampdoria.
