The Managing Director/CEO, Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni, today, led the management team to the secretariat of Yaba LCDA, for stakeholders’ meeting on solid waste management, with emphasis on sorting of waste at the source of generation.
Mr. Odumboni, while speaking at the meeting with participants comprising stakeholders at Lagos Mainland LG and Yaba LCDA – market leaders, artisans and representatives of CDAs/CDCs, enjoined the people to look inwards with local solutions to tackle waste management challenges. These includes actively engaging the youths of the area, to take charge of the environment to forestall indiscriminate dumping of waste.
The participants spoke freely on environmental challenges in their various domains, as the LAWMA boss responded to the issues raised.
