The University of Port Harcourt, through its Centre for Information and Telecommunication Engineering, recently recognized a major player in Nigeria’s digital revolution.
The DG of NITDA received an Award of Excellence for his outstanding contributions to digital innovation and transformation in the country.
The award announcement came on May 17, 2024, during the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day celebrations.
However, the formal presentation of the award took place on August 19, 2024, at NITDA’s headquarters.
Professor Bourdillon Omijeh, Director of the Centre for Information and Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Port Harcourt, presented the accolade on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill.
