Former Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged N27bn fraud.
He was arrested at his Abuja residence on Friday and taken to the anti-graft agency’s headquarters.
As at the time of filing this report, he was still being interrogated in connection with the alleged fraud.#
Ishaku was elected in 2015 and reelected in 2019. He left office on May 29, 2023.
Meganews gathered that “15-count charges have been filed against him and he would be arraigned in court soon”.
