Nigerian media personality and actress, Omotunde Adebowale David, aka Lolo 1, has stirred reactions on social media after she declared that she would rather be a man’s second wife than his side chick.
The Thespian, who made the disclosure in a recent podcast with actress Bimbo Akintola aired on Monday, said that marriage, even as a second wife, carries dignity and recognition, unlike being a hidden lover.
“I would rather a man be polygamous than for him to be married and have a side chick. That’s the one I would not contend with,” the actress stated.
Her remark quickly set social media ablaze, with fans divided between those praising her honesty and others criticizing her stance as controversial and “old-fashioned.”
However, Lolo 1, known for her witty takes and no-nonsense attitude, emphasized that women should seek respect and stability, not temporary attention.
