Samsung Electronics is apparently utilizing NVIDIA’s cutting-edge processors to construct and power its next-generation AI chip production plant, a daring effort to solidify its position in the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence (AI) equipment race.

The factory, which forms part of Samsung’s multi-billion-dollar investment in semiconductor expansion, is expected to focus on high-performance AI processors, custom silicon for large-scale data centers, and next-generation memory solutions optimized for AI workloads.

Samsung’s Executive Vice President of Device Solutions (Semiconductors) has emphasized that the company is “committed to leading the next era of AI innovation,” with the factory serving as a cornerstone in achieving that vision.

This “AI-driven semiconductor manufacturing,” as both companies refer to it, will assist Samsung in streamlining its operations, increasing the effectiveness of its autonomous operations, and better anticipating maintenance requirements.

Samsung will reportedly achieve 20 times better performance thanks to NVIDIA’s assistance in adapting its chipmaking lithography technology to work with its GPUs.

If successfully executed, the Samsung-NVIDIA partnership could redefine the global semiconductor landscape, positioning both companies at the heart of the AI hardware revolution.
