Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has called out the ex-governor online, accusing him of betraying members of his family, including their mother, and close friends who helped him in his bid to become governor.
The former governor clocked 65 years on Saturday with goodwill messages pouring in from prominent Nigerians including President Bola Tinubu, but the wishes from Isaac was far from cordial as he accused his brother of being selfish and a traitor who betrayed everyone he has come in contact with, including his family members.
In a birthday video message he shared on his Facebook page, Isaac congratulated his elder brother on turning 65 but wasted no time highlighting what he described as Ayodele’s spirit of selfishness and disregard for those who stood by him.
Tagging the video “A birthday message to my brother Ayodele Peter Fayose at 65,” the younger Fayose said:
“Happy 65th birthday to my brother. I pray that the spirit of selfishness in you will disappear, and you can turn a new leaf.
“You betrayed everyone who has been there for you. I remember in 2002, my sister, late Bimpe Shorinolu, sold her land in Maryland for you to buy PDP ticket. You had your birthday party, and none of your siblings from your mother’s side were there, including your mother, because you didn’t invite her.
“You forget so soon. Life isn’t about being relevant all the time. Look at the Adeleke family, Yar’adua family. They stand together. But you, once you are okay, everyone can go.
“Even late Buruji Kashamu, that gave you close to 2 billion for your 2nd term election, you betrayed him. All your PDP political family in Ekiti, you betrayed everybody.
“Even Arthur Eze, that gave you about 3 million dollars, you have not been there to say thank you. My brother, selfishness is a sin.
“We are not bitter. We are still praying for you. We wish you well. You are not our breadwinner. We are all doing well on our own level. But we want to tell you to turn a new leaf.”
