Activist, Verydarkman has voiced strong criticism of the federal government following a recent attack on a church in Kwara State.
Recall that there had been an attack at a church in Kwara state on Tuesday.
The Kwara State Police confirmed on Tuesday that suspected bandits carried out attacks in Eruku, a boundary town in the Ekiti Local Government Area, resulting in at least two deaths and one injury. Among the locations targeted was a parish of the Christ Apostolic Church.
Authorities reported that one worshipper was killed during the assault, while another victim’s body was later found in the bush, according to a statement from the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi.
Verydarkman who reacted to this described being deeply disturbed after viewing footage of the incident, which showed armed assailants targeting worshippers, including elderly churchgoers.
The activist highlighted the vulnerability of those affected and questioned how the attackers were able to obtain assault rifles.
He said in part …
“I have a reason to believe that the president of the federal republic of Nigeria is no longer with us. I watched the Kwara video and could not sleep. I was disturbed all through. You know why? Because my mother is always in church. A lot of us, our mothers are always in church. This people had the audacity to attack helpless people in church, then there’s no limit to what this people can’t do. I was watching the video, and see wan grandma use stick the walk, she couldn’t run and there was rapid fire outside. These people had assault rifles. Where do they get assault rifles?”
