Amid the ongoing misunderstanding between 2Baba and his wife, Natasha Osawuru, the music legend has come forward to clarify the alarming “Help me” post that sent social media into a frenzy.
The couple has been under public scrutiny for weeks as rumours of internal conflict continued to swirl, with family members and close associates also weighing in. The situation intensified when a distress message appeared on 2Baba’s Instagram page, fueling speculation that the marital dispute had taken a dangerous turn.
Breaking his silence in a video he shared on Wednesday afternoon on X, 2Baba stated that he is “perfectly okay” and insisted he did not publish the viral post, claiming someone else gained access to his account. He acknowledged that he and Natasha are dealing with private issues but maintained that they are committed to resolving them away from public interference.
He also criticised the growing media frenzy and online reactions, warning that the excessive attention and sensationalism are now putting Natasha at risk. According to him, the narrative has shifted from normal marital challenges to a public spectacle that endangers his wife’s safety.
2Baba also used the medium to urge the public to allow them space as they work through their differences privately.
“I need everyone to calm down. This issue is getting out of hand, and you people are putting Natasha at risk. I’m perfectly okay. Someone else posted that on my IG; I’m not the one who posted it. Families do have issues, but we will definitely resolve everything,” 2Baba said in the video posted on social media.
