Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has responded to claims that he uses church funds to finance his personal lifestyle, dismissing the allegations as baseless and misleading.
In a sermon captured in a viral video circulating on social media, the cleric criticised those who assume that his clothing or accessories are funded with church money, describing such thinking as “mumu-ishness of sense.”
Enenche stated unequivocally that neither he nor members of his family have ever had access to the church’s checkbook since the ministry was founded. He stressed that church finances are handled independently and are not at his personal disposal.
According to him, proceeds from church materials such as books, CDs and devotionals are also not used to meet personal needs. He explained that despite authoring several publications sold within the ministry, he has never spent the income on clothing or accessories.
“From day one till now, the church checkbook has not been in our possession,” Enenche said. “Not one naira from books or CDs has been used to buy a tie or socks—how much more church offering?”
The cleric further stated that his needs are met through divine provision rather than material accumulation, noting that many luxury items gifted to him remain unused, while others have been given out. He claimed that on one occasion, he gave away over 200 suits in a single day.
Enenche concluded by urging Christians to shift their focus from material possessions to spiritual growth, insisting that prioritising faith over wealth attracts blessings naturally.
