Dele Momodu, a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has outlined strategies he believes could help the opposition defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television on Monday, Momodu argued that Tinubu is “defeatable if the opposition gets its mathematics right.”
He explained that the ADC is currently repositioning itself as a disciplined and credible alternative ahead of the polls.
Momodu noted that the party’s ongoing constitutional review and coalition-building efforts are part of a deliberate reset aimed at avoiding the mistakes that weakened past opposition movements.
“When there is a coalition, it is assumed that it is a coalition of co-joiners. Everyone at this stage is equal. What the party seeks to do is to be different from other parties,” he said.
He emphasized that discipline, unity, and careful candidate selection will be critical in unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
