Popular businessman and nightlife mogul Obi Cubana has announced a major personal transformation, revealing that he has given his life to Christ and is embarking on what he describes as a new spiritual journey.

The revelation came during a conversation with renowned cleric Pastor Jerry Eze, where Obi Cubana openly affirmed his decision to fully embrace Christianity. According to those present, the businessman spoke with conviction about leaving his old self behind and growing into what he called a “new person in Christ.”

In a statement that quickly caught attention online, Obi Cubana declared that negative people should keep their distance going forward, signaling a clear shift in mindset and priorities. The comment was widely interpreted as a desire to protect his spiritual growth and align himself with more purpose-driven influences.

Pastor Jerry Eze confirmed that Obi Cubana has committed to regular church attendance and ongoing discipleship, stressing that structures are already in place to support his spiritual development. He emphasized that the businessman would receive guidance to help him remain grounded and consistent in his faith.

Importantly, Obi Cubana made it clear that the decision was entirely personal and not the result of pressure or persuasion. He chose to share the news himself, stating that transparency was necessary to publicly affirm his commitment to Christ.

Pastor Eze expressed confidence that Obi Cubana’s faith journey would be steady and impactful, particularly given his influence among young Nigerians. He noted that the businessman’s transformation could inspire others to pursue purpose beyond material success.

The announcement marks a notable moment for a figure long associated with luxury, nightlife, and high-profile social events—suggesting that Obi Cubana may be redefining not just his faith, but the public image that comes with his name.

Obi said: “I am a new creature in Christ, a human after Christ. I have given my life to Christ. This was my personal decision. Nobody prompted me. I wanted to let everyone know by myself that I have given my life to Christ.

“I will be going to church every Sunday. I want to grow in the knowledge of God. I believe God will use me to lead many people to Christ. God has given me influence, especially among the youth. So all you naysayers and negative people, don’t go and bring bad vibe to me. Just believe. And I will lead a lot of people to Christ.”
