A trending video circulating on social media platforms has revealed the moment former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami was rearrested by operatives of the Directorate of State Services (DSS), shortly after he was released from Kuje Prison.

Malami was earlier remanded in the Kuje Correctional Centre, Abuja, following his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside his wife and son, for alleged corruption.

However on Monday, he was granted bail after meeting the conditions but few minutes after his released, he was seen in the video clip where DSS officials swooped on him, led him to a waiting van and taken into custody again.

As he was led to the van, Malami was heard asking one of the DSS operatives:
“Who is the oga among you? Can I see your ID card?”

Though the reason for Malami’s fresh arrest could not be ascertained, it is widely believed it may be in connection with a fresh probe by the DSS following the discovery of arms at his Kebbi country home by EFCC operatives during a search.
