The country’s national grid collapsed again on Friday afternoon. The Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company announced this development in a public notice on its official X handle.
The notice read: ”Dear Esteemed Customers, be informed that we experienced a system outage on Friday at 12.40pm affecting all feeders.
”Efforts are currently being coordinated by the National County Centre to effect restoration of supply to all locations affected by the development.”
The system collapse was the first in the country this year, after it recorded four incidents in 2025.
