Viral streamer iShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins Jr., caused a stir online after visiting the home of Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Nazário, also known as R9.
In a video clip circulating on social media, Speed toured R9’s trophy room, excitedly pointing out and holding Ballon d’Or awards while engaging in energetic banter with Ronaldo and his team.
During the tour, Speed could hardly contain his excitement as he examined the trophies. “Are you a gamer? Who I used to go? No, there’s not… You know what it is. That’s the Ballon d’Or!” he exclaimed, gesturing animatedly. He continued, joking and mumbling in his signature hype-filled style while admiring the array of awards.
The viral moment that captured attention online came when Speed spoke candidly about football rivalries.
Addressing Ronaldo’s guide, he asked about Lionel Messi, prompting a humorous yet controversial remark. “I don’t like Messi because he’s short and trash… Ronaldo is better!” Speed said.
He also referenced Cristiano Ronaldo, his personal favourite, adding to the playful debate.
