Nigerian LGBTQ+ activist, Bisi Alimi, has claimed that God didn’t see homosexuality as a sin or He would have included it in the 10 Commandments.
Alimi who has been vocal about gay rights in Nigeria, was reacting to a recent comment by former BBNaija Star, Pere Egbi, where he suggested that being part of the LGBTQ+ community is a sin.
A US-based pastor had, in a post on X on Sunday, argued that being gay is not a sin and that the bible never said it was a sin.
The cleric also stated that one cannot repent from a sexual orientation because no one chooses their sexual orientation.
While reacting to the cleric’s post,
Egbi said being queer is a sin like every other sin in the bible.
He argued that God never created a man for another man nor a woman for another woman.
But while reacting to the BBNaija star’s position in a video on his Instagram page on Monday, Alimi said Egbi’s submission was out of line as God did not classify homosexuality as a sin and asked him to stop exhibiting his stupidity in public.
