Recent checks on Instagram show that the musician has unfollowed media mogul Dele Momodu, the uncle of his first daughter’s mother, Sophia Momodu. At the time of reporting, Momodu continues to follow Davido.
The move comes just hours after the Ovation TV boss shared a post aimed at reassuring the public amid the family tension. In his Instagram update, Dele Momodu emphasized that there was no cause for alarm, noting that discussions were ongoing behind the scenes and expressing optimism that matters would be resolved peacefully.
This development follows a dramatic week at the Lagos State High Court, where Davido reportedly lost his composure during a heated cross-examination. The singer’s action adds a new layer of intrigue, especially given Sophia Momodu’s history with her uncle, having reportedly cut ties with him in 2023 over his public support for the Adelekes.
Dele Momodu has discussed the problem in public before. Momodu claimed that Sophia had been primarily in charge of their daughter’s care when Davido requested shared custody in 2024. He further stated that he attempted to resolve the matter by bringing Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, and father, Deji Adeleke, into the fray.
