A Federal High Court in Abuja, on Monday, ordered Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State to stop parading himself as the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate in the November 18 election.

The presiding judge delivered a ruling to serve Obiano through substituted means on a prayer asking him to stop parading himself as the APGA candidate.

The court also affirmed that Chief Martin Agbaso remains the authentic national Chairman of APGA.

With this development, Obiano is no longer allowed to continue his re-election campaign as that will be deemed illegal and a contempt of court.

It is believed Obiano’s lawyers will approach the Court of Appeal to determine the party’s candidate between the governor and Hygers Igwebuike.

Igwebuike is the candidate of the Agbaso faction of the party.

The court will also decide who between Agbaso and Victor Oye is the  authentic APGA National Chairman.
