The defection of the Governor of Zamfara State, Mohammed Bello Matawalle, to the All Progressives Congress has confirmed an earlier prediction by the Leader of the INRI Evangelical Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele.
Matawalle on Tuesday defected to the Peoples Democratic Party alongside other elected officials of the state.
Although, he has on several occasions debunked the speculations and restated his loyalty to the PDP, Matawalle eventually joined the APC on Tuesday, with about 18 governors welcoming him.
It could be recalled that when the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade, defected to the APC, Primate Ayodele released a prophetic statement that Matawalle and two other governors elected on the platform of the PDP will follow suit.
The man of God specifically mentioned that the Zamfara State Governor has made up his mind already.
See Primate Ayodele’s full statement then: “The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Mohammed Matawalle has made up his mind to leave the PDP. He is 99 per cent out, If the party does not manage its situation well, the Governor of Enugu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, will follow suit.”
Already on the social media, pictures of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and that of Ikpeazu have gone viral, creating an impression that the governor might leave the PDP soon.
