During a recent visit by the MTN Foundation delegation, led by Odunayo Sanya, NITDA’s Director-General, Kashifu Inuwa, CCIE, made a bold call for collaboration.
The mission is to equip Nigerians with the digital skills needed to thrive in an evolving economy.
95% Digital Literacy by 2027
NITDA’s Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) initiative is setting a high bar ensuring 95% of Nigerians are digitally literate by 2027.
“This aligns with our strategic pillar of fostering digital literacy and talent development,” Inuwa stated.
But they’re not just talking about it, they’re building a framework based on UNESCO and DigiCom standards, rolling out a structured curriculum for schools, and prioritizing skills over just paper certifications.
MTN Foundation’s Digital Push
MTN Foundation isn’t sitting on the sidelines either. They’ve already launched online programs with 4,000+ courses and 2,000 young Nigerians have signed up.
Recognizing NITDA’s impact, Sanya praised its efforts and invited the Agency to unveil its academy platform on April 17.
