Nigerians on social media have been reacting after a video emerged showcasing multi-billion naira luxury vehicles belonging to first class Emirs in Bauchi State.
The anger was piqued by the display of affluence in the face of the untold hardship and poverty in the country especially with residents in the northern region, particularly Bauchi, undergoing severe deprivation.
Many Nigerians who commented on the video were appalled that even with the poverty which has led to millions of children becoming beggars and parents not being able to afford to feed their children as well as millions who are out of school, such luxury vehicles could be procured by the traditional rulers.
Though it could not be ascertained how the monarchs managed to acquire such expensive vehicles, some believe they could have been bought for them by the government or gifts from politicians.
But be that as it may, the comments are both interesting and intriguing.
