Troops Capture Wanted Terrorist in Plateau

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have a wanted terror and violent extremist leader, Idris Idris, also known as Babawo Badoo, in Plateau State.

A reliable Army Headquarters source told journalists on Thursday that the troops also arrested 37 other criminal suspects during coordinated operations across the country.

They also rescued 15 kidnapped persons in the operations.

He added that the troops killed two suspected terrorists and recovered assorted weapons, ammunition, and logistics items across various theatres of operation.

The source said Babawo Badoo was the notorious insurgent leader behind a series of deadly attacks and abductions in the North-Central.

“He was arrested on October 20 by troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE at Lugere Village, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau.

“The suspect was apprehended following credible intelligence, and troops recovered an AK-47 rifle, a magazine loaded with 10 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, a mobile phone, and ₦12,000,” he stated.
