A young Fulani man has demanded justice for members of his ethnic group who have been killed along with their cows in the Anwume community of Ohimini local government area of Benue State.
The Fulani man who made the call in a video message shared on X on Friday, lamented that many of his people have been killed in the community but no one is talking about the killings and wondered if they are not human beings or their lives and that of their cows do not matter.
In the video, the young man noted that whenever they are attacked and killed, they report such incidents to security agencies but regretted that nothing ever comes out of such reports.
He therefore called on the Benue State and Federal Government to come to their aid as they are also human beings and their lives also matter.
“In Anwume community of Ohimini local government area of Benue State, many Fulanis have been killed as well as their cows in that particular community,” the Fulani man said.
“It is very bad where some of our brothers have been killed. We have complained and reported to security agencies but up till now, no action have been taken. It is very bad.
“Why is it that anytime a Fulani man has been unalived, nobody talks about it? Are we not human beings or are we not citizens of the country or the state? Why is it that nobody cares about our own?
“Many Fulanis have been killed in that particular community and no one ever talks about it. Are we not human beings? Benue State government, federal government, you have to take action on it. We are citizens of this country.
“We demand justice for innocent Fulani people who have been killed in Ohimini local government area of Benue State,” he lamented.
"Many Fulanis have been unalived with their cows in Benue state. We took the matter to the security council and till now they haven't done anything. Why do nobody care when a Fulani is unalived? Are we not human? Are we not citizens of Nigeria?"
