Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz has asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign after the recent bandits’ attack on Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun, Eruku in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Falz made his demand in a post on his X handle where he criticised the President for failing to secure lives and property in the country.

According to Tribune Online, the Kwara State Police Command confirmed that the incident happened around 6 p.m. on 18 November.

Security officers and local vigilantes reportedly confronted the attackers and later pushed them back.

Witnesses said the armed gang stormed the church during a service, killed at least one person, and kidnapped several worshippers before fleeing the area.

Reacting to the attack, Falz expressed deep frustration over the rising insecurity and the alleged slow response from the government.

He asked how many more innocent Nigerians must suffer before real action is taken.

He wrote: “How many more people have to be kidnapped and murdered in cold blood? How many more lives do you want to waste? How many more futures do you wish to erase with your incompetence and inaction?”

Falz added that the President had shown an unwillingness to protect citizens despite “pretending to care in the past”, before ending his message with a firm call for Tinubu’s resignation.

He said: “You have consistently shown your unwillingness to protect the lives and property of our people despite pretending to care in the past. RESIGN NOW!”
