Former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, met with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday evening.

Reporters observed General Musa arriving at the State House at 7:03 pm, where he was ushered into the President’s office area by a senior security official.

Dressed in dark-green traditional northern attire with elbow-length sleeves, the meeting marks the first public interaction between Musa and the President since Tinubu retired him from service on October 24, 2025.

The specific purpose of the discussion was not immediately disclosed.

The meeting occurs amidst heightened national security concerns, particularly in the North, following a series of high-profile incidents. These include the recent abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi, the attack on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara, and the kidnapping of Catholic schoolchildren in Minna, as security agencies continue to intensify counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping operations across the North-West and North-Central regions
