An unspecified number of passengers were injured Monday morning when a train heading to Abuja derailed midway into the trip.
The train was travelling from Kaduna when it suffered a disruption along the busy rail line linking Abuja with the state.
A source in the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) confirmed the incident to journalists.
He was however silent on the number of passengers on board the train at the time of the accident.
