NCC Shares Profound Soundbites From 2021 World Library Day Event

The Nigerian Communications Commission has recently shared profound soundbites from the 2021 World Library Day Event held in April.

The excerpts were coined from the speech given by the Executive Vice-Chairman, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta.

Acknowledging the usefulness of libraries and most significantly, the digitisation of books and other material made possible by ICT, the Chairman stated that the 18-year-old NCC’s library has been a cutting edge repository of knowledge and information with over 1000 technical books in hard and soft copies aside from other materials serving both internal and external stakeholders.

He mentioned that a knowledge economy is driven by ICT and requires reading and intellectual development for further advancement.

Therefore, the NCC library is a great resource with a variety of stocks reflecting the multi-functional structure of the Commission, the significance of which cannot be over-emphasised in its activities and knowledge economy.
