First Bank of Nigeria Limited has recently rewarded six (6) customers with N1m each at the fourth and final draw of the ‘WinBig’ promo draw held at the bank’s head office in Lagos.

The promo, which started in October 2023, was one of the most extensive campaigns in the financial services industry. First Bank aimed to give N170m worth of cash rewards and recharge cards to customers who met the criteria and participated in the monthly draw selections.

During the event, Dr Adesola Adeduntan, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Bank, expressed his appreciation to the customers for their partnership and patronage over the years. Adeduntan, represented by Mr. Ini Ebong, the bank’s Executive Director of Treasury and International Banking, explained that the promo was designed to reward new and existing customers for their incremental deposits, savings, and other transactions on their FirstBank account. He reiterated that the initiative aimed to reinforce the bank’s longstanding commitment to prioritise its customers by rewarding them for their loyalty.

He said, “At the onset of the promo, we set out to give N170m cash rewards to our customers who participated and met the criteria to qualify for the monthly draws. “I am happy to announce that 1,240 customers have been rewarded in fulfilment of our promise. Today, six more customers who have been certified to meet the criteria for the final draw will be rewarded with N1m each”. He used the opportunity to thank First Bank customers for participating in the promo.

The First Bank CEO reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to promoting financial inclusion through digital means, ensuring that every Nigerian had access to financial services regardless of location, age, or geography. According to Ikemefula Nwachukwu, the Head of Personal Banking at First Bank, 1,240 individuals have won N100,000 each in the four draws. Additionally, six lucky Nigerians have won N1m each, while 40,000 customers have received N1,000 worth of airtime.

Representatives from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), and Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) were present at the draw. Nkiru Onuzulu, the zonal coordinator of the Lagos zonal office, NLRC, praised the draw for its transparency. She also commended the bank for the promotion and stated that the cash prizes would help reduce the economic difficulties faced by families in Nigeria. In addition, two previous winners, Precious Daniel and Nnaji Alphonsus, who had won a cash prize of N100,000 each at the last draw, were also acknowledged.
