Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, and a key figure in African Democratic Congress (ADC) Peter Obi, and the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday met behind closed doors at the Governor’s Office, Ibadan.

The meeting came barely three days after a high-level summit attended by opposition parties in the country also held in the Oyo State capital, which drew prominent political actors and stakeholders from across the country.

The meeting is believed to be part of ongoing consultations
The agenda of the discussions was, however, not officially disclosed as at the time of filing this report.

The meeting follows Obi’s engagement on Monday with former President Goodluck Jonathan, in a separate round of consultations believed to be connected to broader national political realignments.
