The 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran,  aka Jandor, has purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for next year’s election in the state.

Adediran, the Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos by his Media aide, Mr. Gbenga Ogunleye.

Adediran took the step amid the endorsement of the Lagos Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and others as the party’s consensus candidate.

The aspirant said the step underscored his commitment to the party’s laid-down procedures and internal democratic principles.

He said: “This step reflects my disciplined adherence to the party’s established processes and my unwavering belief in the internal democratic mechanisms of the APC.

“I reiterate my full alignment with the party’s official position on the adoption of direct primaries for all elective offices.

“I am confident that this approach will further deepen participatory democracy, strengthen party cohesion, and give every member a sense of ownership in the emergence of candidate.”

He also reaffirmed his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the party at state and national levels.

“I reaffirm my profound respect, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the National Leader of the APC and President Bola Tinubu.

“I equally extend my highest regards to the leadership of the party in Lagos State, its distinguished elders, and all recognised leaders whose guidance continues to shape the progressive ideals of the APC,” Adediran added.
