Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa, has urged Nigerians to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the country will be better off if the president is given more time to complete his reforms.
Speaking during a recent interview with journalists, Musa said many of the challenges Nigerians are experiencing stem from problems that were neglected for years and are now being addressed through difficult but necessary decisions.
“If he could have done this in three years, imagine if he has four or five additional years to finish. We need Nigerians to understand that a lot of things that were left out are what he is tackling. He is taking very bold action,” he stated.
He acknowledged that the reforms may be painful in the short term but insisted that the country would eventually reap the benefits.
Drawing a comparison with childbirth, Musa said difficult moments often come before joy and that Nigerians should remain patient as the government continues its programmes.
