The Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Tajudeen Lawal, has raised the alarm over a possible attempt by the state government to create fresh tension at local government councils across the state.
Lawal’s warning is coming after a recent statement by the Osun State Government alleging that some stakeholders were planning to cause crises at local government councils and motor parks following the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Osun APC Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, Lawal cautioned Governor Ademola Adeleke against actions capable of plunging the state into another round of political tension.
The APC chairman urged the government not to use security concerns as a pretext to intimidate political opponents or interfere with the administration of local governments.
